If the crew of CFV-88 never engages the Sentinels in the first place, the Shield World's intelligence subsequently would not aggro them. In the original game, the caretaker intelligence of Shield World 0459 only flags the UNSC as hostile after human units/turrets destroy 30ish Sentinels.

If there is one request/wish I have for the last mission of Act 3 (TOW: SW0459 Exterior), it would be that the Sentinels aren't aggressive to the Spirit of Fire during the Cleansing level. Then again, doing so would go against the intention of the level, so I guess that makes sense. Awesome update Mission 9 is a long grind of a level and my largest regret with Mission 10 is that there is not enough time to completely clear out the map on harder difficulties.
